I spent three nights here in late October 2025. The autumn leaves hadn't started turning yet, but it was still a relaxing stay at a clean, pleasant ryokan. The shuttle driver was polite and helpful, and the staff were all very pleasant.

Traditional Japan, with a history of more than 300 years, and so many lovely people and things to see and do. I'm keeping this short, but this is my new secret getaway. The breakfast is a must. Prices are very nice for what the hotel offers. Explore the hotel and grounds, and chat with the staff, they'll tell you plenty. Give this lovely place a try. Just call to reserve a room. 💕💕

A lovely foot spring area is here too, and I found this one of the nicest hot springs in Yamagata. It apparently has Japan's largest carved stone bath, plus several outdoor baths to relax in. It's especially nice when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. I'd definitely recommend this onsen.

The staff were so polite and friendly, and the quaint architecture is worth a look. My room was clean and comfortable, and I enjoyed the onsen in its relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious. I'd love to visit again! 😊
