Heights MR2 - Vacation STAY 88265

The old building has no soundproofing, so it was really noisy. We could hear every step from neighbors upstairs, and around 9 AM each morning, cleaning staff woke us if we were still in bed as they took fresh towels or linens stored outside under our window for new guests. There were also large cockroaches and a huge spider, which made me think pest control hadn’t been done. The air conditioner directly above the bed dripped water on us. The kitchen ventilation area was the one spot that wasn’t clean. Otherwise, the place was clean and everything was perfect. It’s a cozy stay, and the room was practically arranged for its size. A larger TV might be nice. The location is excellent, with quick access to Nara Park.

The room was clean and had what we needed for cooking and doing laundry. We enjoyed the stay, with easy walks to Nara Park and the center for dinner. Unfortunately, the upstairs guests were loud, stomping around and showering late, and kept us awake until 1 AM. The provided earplugs helped a little, but the stomping was annoying. The host had clearly posted and communicated the quiet hours, so this wasn’t their fault.

The staff were very helpful, and by coincidence we were able to check in four hours early. Nara Park is very close, and the rooms are modern, affordable, and clean.

Tarbo's House made for an awesome stay. It’s conveniently located for getting to historical and tourist spots, including Nara deer park and Todaiji temple, about 10 minutes away. The amenities were clean and useful, and the host was really helpful and accommodating with my requests. I’d recommend it 100%!
