The only small annoyance was the kitchen: just two wall plugs, and they’re way up near the ceiling. Otherwise, the capsule-style bed was really comfortable, and the staff were welcoming and nice. The little garden is a great spot to sit with a drink and chat with people. The neighborhood is quiet but still has some life to it.

There’s a really nice atmosphere here, and the inner garden is a cool feature. Beds are very comfortable, everything is clean and well cared for, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s about 15 minutes from the train station. I’d definitely recommend it to friends.

After a full day out, it was relaxing to come back to this traditional house and its Japanese yard. Nights were very quiet, and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were easygoing and friendly, and thanks to the guy who helped me with the trip. We also chatted about popular places in Taiwan, like Spirited Away and dragon&lion buildings hahaha.

In summer, choose a lower bunk near the AC if you can. The beds higher up and farther inside stayed extremely hot all night. The hostel itself was clean and sociable, with a shared kitchen and shower, and you can choose a bunk or pay extra for a private room. They also had free bikes to ride around nearby Nara Park and, through an Airbnb promo, gave us passes to the adjacent public bath. Some baths have electrotherapy, which is only labeled in Japanese. The hostess got a good laugh from our surprise.
