Narita Tobu Hotel Airport

My room was huge for one person, which came in handy for repacking all my luggage after shopping. It had everything I needed for an early flight. Some of the equipment works in an old-fashioned way, so I had to get used to it again after all the modern appliances, but it brought back some memories.

The beds were nice, rooms clean and just the right size, with a kettle, refrigerator, and enough room for two suitcases. Bathrooms were clean too, and everything worked. The airport shuttle is handy, running every 30 minutes from 5 am to Terminals 1 and 2 and AEON Mall. It’s very close to Narita Airport. One catch is check-in is at 3 pm, or early check-in costs 6000 yen, which feels steep. I’ll definitely stay again.

We had plenty of room for the family to lay out our bags and check their weight before heading home. The room and toilet were spotless and had no odor, and check-in was easy with friendly staff. Family Mart inside the hotel is open 24 hours, which was great for last-minute drinks and snacks. We stayed our last night in Japan before a 9:00 AM flight, and the free shuttle to Terminals 1 and 2 runs roughly every 30 minutes from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The morning buses get packed, so I’d get up early to queue. For one night before a flight, it did what we needed and I have no complaints.

The room rate is reasonable, and there’s a shuttle to the airport terminals every now and then, which is convenient. The hotel is budget and no-frills, with few in-room amenities and no free drinking water, so you have to boil water yourself. Most amenities are self-service in the lobby. That area does have a restaurant, convenience store, and pharmacy. The restaurant food is pretty good, with both buffet and à la carte options.
