This was a lovely honeymoon stay for my husband and me. I'm a lifelong camper while he prefers the comforts of a hotel, so glamping worked well for both of us. It felt quiet and secluded enough to give me a camping vibe, while the clean bathrooms and air liner room helped my husband feel comfortable about bugs. The staff were helpful when we asked about trails and other sights, and we liked being able to message them on WhatsApp with questions. The room had basic three-star hotel amenities, including a microwave, mini-fridge, kettle, silverware, shower towels, and a hair dryer and straightener/curler. There were also towels at the shower. The bathroom was consistently clean, with a personal shower you could access from it. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were provided. I didn't use the reservable jacuzzi. There's a view of Mt. Fuji, a fenced dog run, a playground, and a shared seating area. Each picnic table has a grill for BBQs. The bus stop is a 12-minute walk and connects to caves and walking trails, making this a handy base for light backpacking.

We had a great meal plan experience, cooking fresh, delicious ingredients for our friends. The loft was my favorite spot to sleep and hang out, and the rooms looked new or were exceptionally well maintained, with lots of amenities. Gran Tocoro made a wonderful end to our trip around Japan. It's set away from the main roads, which gives it a peaceful feel, and there's a beautiful view of Mount Fuji. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making sure we had what we needed throughout our stay. I'd gladly recommend Gran Tocoro to anyone looking for a place near Mount Fuji.

The cabin is stylish and modern, with a great sauna and a semi-outdoor hot tub looking out toward the forest. The setting is beautiful, and the scent of wood smoke from nearby chimneys added to the atmosphere. The staff were so sweet with our two Golden Retrievers.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are lovely. After a long day of hiking, the private sauna and bath were just what we needed. We added a prepared BBQ for our first night, enjoyed it so much that we ordered it again. My husband and I had a wonderful stay, and I'd recommend the place.
