Petit Pension la'ha-yu from Tochigi

The meals were tasty and gently seasoned, with generous portions, so it's best to arrive hungry. When dessert came out, the cats showed up too. Feeding them and spending time with them was really relaxing. The bath is booked by the hour, though the slot felt short once I allowed time to dry my hair. I wish it ran a little longer. Also, if using a hair dryer in the room is allowed, I would have liked someone to mention that when I checked in.

We had a lovely time at Nasu no Petit Pension Lahayu, tucked into the natural surroundings of Nasu-Shiobara. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a nostalgic feel that made it easy to unwind. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the private family bath was a nice way to relax after exploring Nasu. Dinner stood out most. It was homemade with lots of local ingredients, and everything from the steak main course to dessert was carefully prepared and memorable. A peaceful place to get away from the usual routine.

The beef stew was delicious, with tender meat and a generous serving. Cheetah and Louis, the resident cats, were adorable too. The place is a little tricky to find, but inside it was clean and well cared for. Even though ours was the only reservation, we were treated very well. Cat lovers should give it a try!

The owners were so thoughtful throughout our stay. They offered to take photos, shared a Nasu map and places to visit after dinner, and even brought a cat around to show how much they love them. The bath was ours alone, and the birthday cake included in our plan was delicious. After dinner, getting to give the cats Churu treats was pure happiness. I booked as soon as I found out there were cats, and the guesthouse was beautiful, surrounded by greenery. The owners were lovely, the food was good, and the cats were impossibly cute. It was such a restful visit. If I'm in Nasu again, I'd absolutely stay here. Highly recommended!
