The staff were very friendly and tried to help non-Japanese speakers. We enjoyed the onsen and both dinner and breakfast. Cute cats wander around the hotel lobby too.

I could stay in the three different hot springs for a long time because they were cooler than I usually like. I enjoyed that, and this was my first visit. In the room, there weren't many places to plug things in, which was a bit inconvenient. The food had light flavors and I liked it, but my husband didn't seem to find enough to eat. The room was said to have been renovated a few years ago, yet wallpaper was peeling in places and the washlet was dirty. I felt there was still quite a bit that could be improved.

We stayed with our pet and really enjoyed the three different hot springs. The mixed bath was especially nice and quite hot. Some parts of the building have deteriorated from the hot spring water, but they're kept clean even with cats around. The cats are soothing, too. It's a tucked-away inn where you can get away from everyday life and relax with your pet. I'd recommend it for that, and would like to come back in another season. There are no convenience stores nearby, so buy what you need before heading over. Wi-Fi was available and we had no signal problems. If you're staying in the Pochitama Room, it's a good idea to bring a food bowl, pet sheets, and training pants. We used training pants for our small dog. The room had one large bowl and two large sheets.

The staff, both men and women, were cheerful and friendly, and the cats wandered around freely. As a cat lover, I had a wonderful time again and always find myself wanting to return. This sulfur spring inn is a paradise for hot spring fans, with an open-air bath and three indoor baths using different spring waters. Dinner is served warm and heartfelt in your room, with grilled and simmered dishes brought out piping hot. In the morning, there's tasty porridge cooked with hot spring water and a well-balanced breakfast with plenty of side dishes in the dining area.
