DEL style Osaka Higashitemma by Daiwa Roynet Hotel

I was really satisfied with my stay and would absolutely come back. There’s a public bath, plus women-only rooms and an elevator. Osakatemmangu station is just a one-minute walk from Exit 9.

For the price, I’d recommend this hotel. It’s easy to find and very close to the metro. The staff didn’t speak much English when I checked in, which made asking questions a little difficult, but the manager came over and spoke English well. The hotel itself is nice, with coffee and a corner where you can sit. My room was clean, but the mattress was so hard that I often woke up stiff. That cost it a star for me. Breakfast was okay but basic, and you have to go to the café on the corner. You can pick one bread or waffle, a cake and one drink, or skip the cake and get two drinks. It’s enough, but I was a little disappointed. Maybe it’s better not to add breakfast and just buy food elsewhere, since there are different restaurants in the area.

At 8,000 yen for a weekend, the price felt very reasonable for this hotel. The public bath and lounge with free drinks were good, and the service was nice. It’s about six minutes from the main subway station. Most rooms have no view because buildings of about the same height surround this one. Noise from the avenue can also be bothersome when loud cars and motorbikes go by.

The hotel was decent, but the breakfast was the worst I’ve had in Japan, even worse than what you’d get at a US motel. I wouldn’t pay extra for it if you stay here.
