Business Hotel Sunflower

The building has stairs, so I left my large bags at the front desk. I plan to stay here again when I use Nayoro as my base. They were very helpful when car trouble forced me to make a last-minute request. My room was a smoking Japanese-style room and a bit old, but it was clean and pleasant. Since another woman was arriving late, they suggested I use the bath early to avoid waiting. Thanks so much for accommodating me.

They arranged things separately for me and gave me a really nice room.

The staff were very helpful, and the Japanese-style room had plenty of space. But the only room left was for smokers, and after one night my luggage all smelled like cigarettes. 😅 If you don't smoke, I'd avoid booking one. The bathroom was smaller than I expected, so sharing it might make the tub inconvenient. The dryer also took surprisingly long; a nearby laundromat may be a better option.

I came to Nayoro to see the sunflower fields, and the Sunflower name seemed fitting. The yellow building and illuminated sign were easy to spot when I arrived late at night. My Japanese-style room was compact, more like something in a business hotel. There was a sink in the room, and a refrigerator on each floor, so I had what I needed. I could also borrow an iron and ironing board. The men's bath was bigger, while the women's one was about single-sized, which could mean a wait if guests overlap. The staff were friendly and polite at check-in and when I borrowed the iron.
