Kominka Neri

We got a lift to Sasaguri train station when we checked out, and I'd happily stay here again. The kaiseki dinner, which we booked in advance, and breakfast were both enjoyable. They even had a hand-drawn English menu for breakfast. The room was spacious, the onsen was lovely, and they provided Japanese-style clothes to wear. It's about a 40-minute ride from Fukuoka airport, and the staff greeted us warmly with two complimentary drinks at check-in.

You do need a car to reach this place, since it's a long way from town and quite secluded. But that also makes it peaceful. We had a spacious room with a private onsen, and the staff provided excellent service. I'd recommend trying both dinner and breakfast. The food quality made the prices reasonable. One of the best stays we've had in Japan, and I'll definitely return.

The dinner was a real highlight, with delicious dishes that kept us hooked from the first bite to the last. Our room was spacious and gave us a peaceful retreat, and the service made us feel so well looked after. Kominka Neri brought traditional charm and modern luxury together in a lovely escape. We left wishing we could stay longer. Five stars hardly seem enough.

My wife and I had a wonderful time here, especially over the omakase dinner in the restaurant. Having a private onsen right in the room made such a difference.
