Comfort Inn Niigata Kameda

Just a five-minute walk from Apita, so it’s easy to find food, drinks and shops. The hospitality was great and the room was good. The bathroom and toilet were a bit tiny, but manageable.

The hotel staff were very friendly, and both the rooms and dining area were clean. Breakfast was tasty, especially the curry and waffles, and the hair dryer had a strong blower. The bathroom was a little small and a bit dirty, but since it was just for showering, that wasn’t a problem. The body soap had a slightly unpleasant smell, so bringing your own is probably best. The big drawback was a steady, periodic shaking and buzzing noise, possibly from the laundry nearby. If you get a room where the noise isn’t a problem, this would be a good business hotel. It may just depend on which room you’re assigned.

I had room to relax in the spacious room with its large bed. The unit bathroom was small, and getting my suitcases through the entrance was difficult because there was no ramp. For the low price, the staff service was good. The breakfast was advertised as hearty, and the photos made it look like there would be plenty of food, but the actual serving was small. I felt I had to eat while being considerate of the other people there.

I was here on a business trip, and the location was handy, with shopping nearby. Everything from the entrance through to the room was spotless. The room was spacious and easy to use, with somewhere to store my luggage. The bed wasn’t too hard, and both the bed and pillow were comfortable, almost enveloping me. My only concern was the rather small unit bathroom.
