The service was great, the private onsen was nice, and the room was awesome. There was so much food that you shouldn’t even try to eat it all. It’s two minutes from the bus stop, with a few nice hiking routes nearby. Some are safe even in winter.

They went out of their way to pick us up after our freezing hike around town. The food was amazing and delicious, and the onsen was pleasant, with both indoor and outdoor baths.

The food was far more than I could manage, so anyone who doesn't eat a lot may want to choose somewhere with a buffet instead. I also wouldn't recommend this inn to anyone who dislikes bugs. On our elementary school trip, we stayed for two nights and had a closing ceremony near the Hananoki area, where insects and bees were crawling around. Inside that area, there were moths on the stairs and spiderwebs that the staff hadn't cleaned up. I was really unhappy with the stay.

I really like how peaceful it is here, with plenty of room to relax and a spacious bath. The welcome fruit is delicious, too. In winter the rooms stay warm, and the heating works well. They even provide a large humidifier, which is a thoughtful touch. If you're expecting the old style of attentive service, this might not be the place for you, but I like its more low-key approach.
