Seagull

We came back to Seagull in December 2025 after a long gap, with three people this time after four on our previous visit. The landlady and mascot dog were as healthy as ever, and we had another pleasant stay. The sunset over Nishiizu was perfect, and I’ve added photos from this visit. On our March 2023 stay, we brought our family and dog to see the Nishiizu sunset. The inn has a patio and dog run, so it’s dog friendly. Dinner was kaiseki made with local ingredients, and breakfast was Japanese style with dried fish. We were very happy with both the portions and the taste. There’s a modular bath in the room, as well as a private bath where you can relax in hot water. The lively, fun-loving landlady is great to chat with. Maya, the mascot dog, is friendly and adorable. He rolled right over and showed his belly. I’d recommend the inn to anyone traveling around Nishiizu with a dog. The photo is of the sunset from the beach, just a short walk away.

It had been about four years since my last visit, when I came to celebrate my previous dog’s birthday. I was so relaxed and happy with the food and service that I wanted to return with my next dog, and this time I did, to celebrate its birthday. I booked the same plan because I wanted the splendid alfonsino again. They even thoughtfully gave me the same room, which moved me. It felt like I was traveling with my previous dog. Breakfast was delicious, and even the little incident became a fun memory. I’m sorry for any trouble I caused. When it gets warmer, I’d like to walk by the sea, and I hope to stay here again.

This place really puts dogs first. The owners and staff are kind and clearly love dogs, and Maya, their calm mascot dog, was adorable. I booked dinner, which was generous, with plenty of fish and side dishes. Thanks for the warm welcome and tasty food. I also ordered a meal for my dog, with beef steak, carrots, cauliflower, and green beans. My dog enjoyed it a lot.

The owner and staff made us feel so welcome, and I had such a lovely time. The food was delicious too. Thanks so much for looking after us the other day 🙏 I’d love to bring my dog next time!
