Nobeoka Washington Hotel

I had no choice but to take a smoking room because none of the non-smoking rooms were available. Cigarette smell hit as soon as I got off on my floor, and the other guests there were so noisy. After my stay, I broke out in a rash all over, and I still have one now. It must be dust mites, they’re intense. The place has a pretty retro feel, in a nice way.

I liked how spacious and reasonably priced the stay was, and the location was convenient, with lots of restaurants close enough to walk to. I stayed one night starting Sunday, February 22nd. I’d definitely come back if I visit Nobeoka again.

There was a tension rod between the bed and bathroom, though I couldn’t tell why since there wasn’t a curtain or any other privacy cover. The reception area is narrow, so it may not work well for groups.

The price is very reasonable, so it could work if keeping accommodation costs down is your priority. I stayed two nights on a February 2025 business trip. The location near Nobeoka’s bar district was good, but the building and facilities were very old and didn’t seem well maintained. The room felt dark, with yellowed wallpaper, and noise escaped through a gap in the door. The shower was especially inconvenient in winter: there was no hot water, and the pressure was barely a trickle.
