Really good!

The owners are so kind, and everything is clean and well kept, with rooms and facilities that suit a pension. I love the classic, stylish interior, and in snowy weather you can get almost all the way from the slopes on your snowboard. The food is made with care and tastes great too. I've stayed at several pensions near Tambara Ski Park, but this is my fourth time here and I haven't looked elsewhere since my first stay. I even joke that I go snowboarding once a year just for this place. The price is so reasonable that I think it's worth at least 15,000 yen. Tambara Ski Park is easy to reach from the city center, with great snow and runs. It seems like a good place for families and people trying winter sports for the first time. I've only visited in winter so far, but I'd like to come during lavender season someday.

On my first visit during lavender season, I was impressed by the delicious food and the owners' warm welcome. I came back for skiing last year and again this season, staying two nights this time. The food was even better than I'd expected, and the comfortable atmosphere left me feeling very happy. I hear you've been busy now that the COVID-19 situation has settled down. Thanks for making us feel so welcome again. I'll definitely come back to Heartrest ☺︎

The owners were incredibly thoughtful and kind. They arranged the birthday cake we requested and made our stay comfortable. Breakfast is served at 8am and dinner at 6pm, and you can get half-price parking tickets plus lift ticket discounts. The appetizers were all delicious, especially the salad, cheese, prosciutto, and strawberries. My daughter loved the chilled sweet potato soup, while I enjoyed the tuna, salmon, and firefly squid carpaccio. And that beef shochu, or really, the meat! It was so tender and tasty that I ate it all. We should've ordered a whole bottle of wine.
