All six outdoor baths looked out toward Fuji, and every room faced Mt. Fuji too. We loved the food and the surroundings during our two-night stay at this lovely little Pension, run by a lovely family. The walk down to the beach is steep but short, and not as bad as many people say. Just do it! Parking is right at the pension. The meals were delicious, and the staff made the atmosphere feel warm and welcoming.

The rooms and bath were clean, and we could park before check-in, which we really appreciated. The landlady was friendly, and the inn had a great atmosphere. It's at the top of a narrow, steep hill, with the beach about a five-minute walk downhill. The sea was calm, so it was great for families with kids. After swimming, we could rinse the sand off in the outdoor shower and go straight into the open-air bath. The view of Mount Fuji and the sea was lovely. You can book online, but calling to ask might turn up some good services.

The seafood and mountain produce were the highlight. Dinner included a whole splendid alfonsino simmered over a fire and octopus rice, both served piping hot. The broth was so flavorful it was still delicious cold. The sashimi and vegetables were fantastic, and breakfast was just as luxurious. Marine Mama was friendly and attentive during meals, and the owner and Marine Mama's hospitality really touched us. Thank you so much, we'll definitely return. Rooms without meals are available, but the food is luxurious and highly recommended. From the dining room, we could see Mount Fuji, the sea, and the sunset, a breathtaking sight. The inn is about 150 kilometers from Tokyo. After Numazu's fishing port, we drove over several more kilometers of mountains, up and down, to reach a calm, secluded beach surrounded by mountains. The room was clean, and there were plenty of open-air baths, so we never had to wait.

All the staff were cheerful and friendly, which made the stay especially pleasant. The meals were generous and excellent, including a huge serving of braised splendid alfonsino, and breakfast was delicious too. I relaxed completely in the private bath, which felt like being at home. The ocean view from my room was lovely, but the weather was bad, so I couldn't see Mount Fuji, which I think should have been visible from there.

I come back every year, even though I don't usually stay in the same place. The hostess, staff, and everyone there make it feel like home, with just the right amount of space to let you enjoy your stay. They even turn on the air conditioner before check-in, which is thoughtful. It's a natural setting, so there are lots of insects, but they don't bother you. The food is fresh and delicious. If you're there for two nights, dinner is different each day. I ate out on the second night once, but Marine View is definitely better, fresher and tastier than the restaurants around there. Meals are announced, and everyone eats at the same time. You can still use the baths after checkout, so you can enjoy swimming as long as you like. There's a shortcut to the beach for walking down whenever you want. It can feel dark and scary at night, but the room has spectacular views to enjoy morning and night. There are five baths, though when there aren't many guests, only two or three may be available. You can get in without much waiting, and the view is great from any of them. After swimming, rinse the sand off at the outdoor tap. The Kirara stones aren't especially appealing, but since you're already in the bath, you end up using them. The drawback is the steep climb to the inn. The road is narrow, and you have to keep your foot on the pedals. I'm a little nervous driving it, and low-clearance cars may have trouble getting up. Still, this is a place I return to every year. It's definitely worth visiting at least once!
