Getting around Yonago isn’t easy, especially with the poor bus and train service. I also think smoking in guest rooms should be banned. It’s unsanitary, smells awful, and is a fire hazard. That said, it’s an affordable, pleasant place with lots of amenities and helpful staff. The free rental bikes were handy, and Sukiya is right next door for a cheap meal.
The rooms are comfortable, and the lobby is pretty spacious. Staff are friendly and helpful, and they speak a little English. This renewed Smile Hotel is probably a bit better than most business hotels.
The bed was comfortable, and I liked being able to open the window for fresh air. It’s a typical business hotel that’s been around for a while, though, and the rooms don’t meet the standards of newer places.
A good little place, with clean, simple rooms.
