I had an okay stay. The owner/manager was friendly and pretty hands-off, usually around only during the core hours. Check-in starts at 4 p.m.; if you’re planning to drop off luggage, message ahead for the door code. I spent two nights in the women’s dorm, which has three bunk beds and a desk under one of them. My bunk faced the window, and the thin blind meant it got really bright and hot in the morning. If possible, ask for a bunk on the left side and bring an eye mask.

The beds were clean and comfortable, and the showers and toilets were clean too. I felt at home here. The bar downstairs was a nice place to unwind after a tiring or stressful day, especially with the owner and local people. Thank you, master.

There’s a heater in the dorm, but I was a bit cold in the hallway. Since I stayed just one night, it wasn’t a big issue. The house has plenty of character. The bar was lively even on a Tuesday night, with friendly locals stopping in for drinks and a chat. The beach is right there, and the train station isn’t too far away. I’m not sure if you’re allowed to cook, but there seemed to be a fridge downstairs. There are also some restaurants nearby in the same block. The host was very kind and helpful.
