The Bay Forest Odawara by Hilton Club

The staff were friendly and polite, and we enjoyed the facilities overall, even though the rooms and building feel old-fashioned. There’s a nice onsen and a very large pool that’s great for having fun. Kids also have play areas, gaming, karaoke, and table tennis. The outlet sells souvenirs and sweets made by the hotel. The dinner and breakfast buffets were the best I’ve had in Japan. There was a good mix of international and Japanese food, all with amazing taste. The Western section had some unique flavors, while the Japanese side had sushi, soba, and tempura. Breakfast was great too, especially the sashimi rice bowls.

The rooms were big and very clean, with more of a Western hotel feel. Breakfast had an unusual selection and lots of local ingredients, including the rice, milk, and eggs. The gym was nice too. Getting here easily really calls for a car, and there’s nothing within walking distance if you get late-night cravings. Still, I really enjoyed my stay.

The team made the place feel welcoming as soon as I arrived. They’re warm and genuine, and you can sense their pride in running the hotel. It’s also pet friendly, a big plus for families bringing a pet. I stayed three nights this week for an internal business meeting and had a fantastic time. It’s a peaceful base for getting to Hakone, Mt Fuji, and nearby sights, with mountain and ocean views and no crowds. The food and drinks were solid, with plenty of variety and consistent quality. There’s a lot to do without leaving the hotel: bowling, a natural onsen, a spa, a proper gym, tennis courts, and a long list of outdoor activities. I can’t think of another hotel in the region with this much on offer. I’ll definitely come back more often.

The room looked out to sea, and the view was beautiful. I also enjoyed the lounge and the excellent breakfast selection. There’s a complimentary shuttle to Odawara train station every day. The resort has bowling alleys, a tennis court, and plenty more surprises. Thank you for a good stay.
