The meals were all delicious, and the stone-grilled cooking show was a treat to watch as well as eat. The Namahage drum performance in the evening moved me deeply. I also loved the hot springs: there was a faint, soothing scent like sandalwood, and the water left my skin feeling smooth. I came away relaxed in both body and mind. My room looked out over the Sea of ​​Japan, with a spectacular view of the blue water. The front desk staff were what first won me over, though. They were warm and polite from check-in, always smiling and attentive, and made me want to come back. I was extremely satisfied with the service, food, and baths. I'll definitely return. My mother and I were traveling on our own, and we had a relaxing stay in a room overlooking the ocean. The building may be a little old, but our room seemed renovated and had a comfortable bed on tatami mats. Everyone we met, from reception and the entrance to the dining area and around the hotel, was friendly and made us feel welcome. There were drinks in the lobby, and the Namahage masks and dolls, along with the Oga Peninsula atmosphere, made the inn feel especially lovely. If we return to Oga, we'll stay here again.
