The Prince Gallery Tokyo Kioicho, a Luxury Collection Hotel

We were traveling with our infant, and the front desk gave us a little toy at check-in. Such a thoughtful touch. The staff were friendly, the restaurants served excellent food, and the atmosphere was just right. The location is great, and the hotel lived up to the strong recommendation we’d heard. We’d definitely return.

The views are wonderful, and the location is handy, near two metro stations and several attractions. The concierge was great for helping with reservations, and the rooms have modern controls and a very large, comfortable bathtub. Reception is on the 36th floor. The room wasn’t small, but for the price I expected more space. The shower and tub area has a transparent wall to the bedroom that can only be made frosted, so privacy is incomplete. Most outlets are two-prong, with just one three-prong outlet in the bathroom, which isn’t convenient for charging a laptop. Getting between the room, reception, 2F, and ground level also involves multiple lifts and sometimes an escalator. Breakfast was disappointing. It’s a semi-buffet, with a main dish chosen from a menu of dull options, such as just two fried eggs, then buffet items I found uninteresting. I mostly remember boiled broccoli and bland pork sausage. In Japan, it felt like a wasted meal. If you care about food, I’d skip it and save your appetite for elsewhere. Even with those issues, it’s still a great place to stay. But it’s a Michelin one-star property with a matching price, and the experience didn’t live up to what I expected from its reputation or cost.

The high-floor room looked out over Tokyo, and the view was breathtaking. Beautiful rooms, outstanding service, and a great location made this one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Kentaro Usami deserves a special thank you for being so kind and professional and making our stay even more memorable. Highly recommended.

The hotel is wonderfully quiet, which made for a relaxing atmosphere. It’s also easy to get around, with the subway just a quick hop away. The rooms are gorgeous, with magnificent views, luxurious showers, and good amenities. I travel for business and stay in hotels about 150 nights a year, and this is one of the best I’ve stayed in for a long time. Every staff member was kind and went out of their way to help, especially housekeeping. The restaurants were delicious, breakfast was tremendous, and there were endless options. We’ll definitely stay here again when we return to Tokyo. Thanks to everyone who made our vacation so good.
