Nohga Hotel Ueno Tokyo

Getting around was easy from this hotel. It's near Ueno station, with an underground route that leads to the main streets and an elevator that's handy with suitcases. Ameyoko market is two blocks away, there's a 711 across the street, and other convenience stores and halal ramen are only a few blocks away. Our room was quiet and modern, with a double or queen bed, a separate toilet and shower, a sink area, fridge, drawer, hanger, and a small entry space behind the door. They provided night gowns. The TV placement was a little odd, though getting a roughly 40 inch screen into the tight room was nice. The lobby had a chic boutique feel and a lovely fragrance. Toiletries like cleansing oil, creams, lotion, and toothbrushes were available by reception. The English speaking front desk team were friendly and very helpful. They can arrange wash and fold service starting at ¥4000, as well as luggage delivery through Yamato Kuroneko. There's also a laundry room with a top loading washer, dryer, ironing board and iron, water dispenser, coin changer, seating, and a coin operated welcome drink station with sake, wine, and juices. The outdoor smoking balcony has separate stairs for entering and leaving the hotel. I really liked this hotel and would happily stay again. I'd recommend it to adult travelers.

We had three adults in each room, with a king bed and an extra bed, and the rooms were spacious and cleaned every day. After long days sightseeing, the rain shower and tub were great for unwinding. Breakfast was really good. I tried a breakfast salad for the first time and thought it might be a translation mix-up, but it turned out to be a nice healthy start alongside Japanese fish and rice. The English speaking staff were very helpful, and the hotel is close to Ueno station. Kappabashi is about a 15 minute walk away. It seemed popular with guests from outside Japan. We'd stay here again. Thank you!

Breakfast at the bistro was delicious, and the whole place looked beautiful, from the rooms to the lobby and bistro. Our rooms were comfortable, with thoughtful details and amenities. Every staff member we dealt with was kind and helpful, from check-in through check-out. We had a wonderful stay at Nohga Hotel Ueno Tokyo and would absolutely come back on our next trip, which we're already planning. Thanks so much for making it such a great visit!

Ueno Station is only about a five minute walk away, and the lively Ameyoko Shopping Street and nightlife area are close too. The streets right around the hotel stay quiet, with a 7/11 just a few doors down. The front desk staff were great. They upgraded me to a huge suite for free, the biggest hotel room I had on my two week trip around Japan. I also paid for a late check-out before my flight, which worked out well. The room had a nice fridge and amenities, lovely fixtures, and was very quiet. A beautiful modern hotel with a great design feel. I'd stay again!
