Nohga Hotel Akihabara Tokyo

We spent six nights here and had a pleasant stay. The front desk team were attentive, helpful, and diligent, though their English was only average compared with staff at similar hotels in other countries. The first-floor restaurant serves breakfast and turns into a lively place with a modern menu in the evening. Breakfast was excellent, but the choices were the same each day, and there weren’t any cakes or pastries. The bed linens and bath towels were excellent, and the location was handy for well-known department stores and lots of places to eat. For the price, the room was very small, even by Japanese standards. There was room for just one medium suitcase and no proper clothes storage. The bathroom was tiny too. It had a large sink but no counter space for toiletries. The shower stall was the one roomy part, and the shower itself was excellent.

I’d happily stay here again. The only small letdown was finding the restaurant closed on Monday. I’m not sure whether it closes every week or whether it was just that day, but I’d planned to have breakfast and lunch there. It would’ve helped to know in advance, though it wasn’t a major problem. It’s a beautiful hotel in a great spot in Akihabara. My room was comfortable and well thought out, with useful touches like a Bluetooth speaker, lots of USB ports, and a great shower. The reception staff were friendly, professional, and helpful throughout my stay.

The room was good, though there really weren’t enough shelves or tables to put personal things on. The hotel was recommended by an acquaintance, and I was impressed by the friendly service and pleasant feel. It was quiet despite being in the city center, easy to get around from, and surrounded by shops and restaurants. The restaurant and reception teams spoke excellent English and were extremely kind. The housekeeping staff were friendly too.

It’s our last day here, and we’ve had a great stay. The hotel is very clean, the staff are friendly, and the location is convenient. During check-in, check-out, and whenever we had questions, the staff went out of their way to help, especially since English wasn’t their first language. Our room was small but well kept, and the shower pressure felt great after long days walking around. They brought water and slippers daily. There’s a little fitness area, not really a gym, but it was nice to have just in case. We also opted for breakfast and loved the buffet, with fruit, quiche, chicken, salmon, meats, and more. It felt more like a proper restaurant meal than an afterthought. If you’re looking to stay in Akihabara, I’d have no qualms recommending this place. One tip: bring your own pillow if you can. Hotel pillows are notoriously not great, and these were no exception.
