Since the April 2018 reopening, the resort and its facilities have become much more appealing, and it feels even more family friendly. Kids have a great play area on the second floor, set up in a glamping style with tents and hammocks. You can use the facilities without staying overnight by paying for a full-day or evening pass.

The staff were very accommodating about food. We noted in our online booking that we don't eat pork, and they swapped the meal for something else instead of simply taking the pork out. Breakfast was a huge portion, too much for me. For dinner and BBQ, you collect your food from the kitchen, and it seems you're expected to wash the utensils at the big washing area beside it. I stayed in the glamping area, where, as expected, the toilet was a long walk away. There's no shower, just an ofuro and an indoor pool in the main building. The building opens at 10AM, which is also checkout time, so you can't shower there in the morning before leaving. It's an odd setup if you need to check out early, say at 7AM. There's a shuttle bus once an hour. Check-in took 15-20 minutes, with staff explaining the map and activities. You also need to show proof of three vaccines. It's fair, but there's definitely room for improvement.

It's a nice place, but there isn't much flexibility. We asked to start at 2pm and were quoted 10,000 JPY for it. We asked for a discount and they wouldn't agree. Check-in and barbecue starting at 4pm felt too late, especially since dinner only began at 5pm and it was already dark by 6pm.

The campsite felt more like a parking lot. The log cabins looked nicer, and the group BBQ area seemed decent, but we won't be coming back.
