Yono Daiichi Hotel

A nice place to stay.

It was easy to find food, with Aeon Mall only a few minutes on foot. Aeon Mall has free parking too, so driving there is convenient if you're not drinking. The hotel parking lot is large for this area, which is a real plus for drivers. The room was clean, though it didn't feel new, and the bed was comfortable enough. The key uses an auto-lock, but it's not a card. The unit bath is small, fine for a shower, but you'd have to sit cross-legged to soak in the tub.

The rooms and facilities are what you'd expect from a business hotel, and the staff were helpful. Parking is available. The breakfast buffet wasn't very good for the price. Saitama Super Arena is 1.8 km away, an easy route that takes about 30 minutes at a leisurely pace, though it passes through residential streets where you need to watch for cars and bicycles. In the middle of summer it gets too hot to walk, so take public transport.

I had a spacious twin room, and the sink and bath smelled as if they’d recently been renovated, which made the hotel seem updated. There’s a tasty pizza and pasta restaurant on the front desk floor, so finding something to eat was easy. The staff at reception were all friendly and helpful, and when I got in touch after checkout because I thought I’d left something behind, they kindly helped me. I stayed in late July for a concert at Tama Arena. The hotel is just off the highway, easy to reach by car, with free parking. There's also a handy free shuttle from Omiya Station. I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Tama Arena.
