The view from the higher floors was great, and the hotel was very clean and well equipped. The Toyoko Inn staff were friendly and helpful at both check-in and breakfast.

A really nice place to stay, close to both Oita station and the shopping area. The staff were very accommodating 😁.

Breakfast included local specialties, and the neighborhood was quiet. The staff were very friendly. I'd recommend it.

A reasonably priced hotel right in front of Oita station. The car park has plenty of space, but motorcycles are directed to the front, which may make for a restless night. That concern only applies if you're arriving by motorcycle. As the photo shows, bicycles can be parked under the covered eaves, though I'm not sure about the arrangement.

Toyoko-Inn has the useful facilities I like for business travel: WiFi, air-conditioning, a bar fridge, kettle, shoe polishing cloth, trouser press, night shirt, and coin-operated laundry. The stacked parking costs ¥500 a day. The location is spot on, about 0.1 mi from the train station. Azuma Plaza is next to the station, with a food court on the 3rd floor, restaurants on the 4th, and a supermarket in the basement. We had a car and used the hotel as a base for driving to Kufu Flower Park, Ganiyu in Nagayu Onsen, Amagase Onsen, Kabeyu Onsen, Akagawa Onsen, and Yufuin Onsen. Very convenient.
