Kura Hotel Izumisano

There was no room cleaning or trash pickup, and no staff at the front. When I first went in, there was a mark on the bedsheet that looked like blood or coffee, and rubbish, including a bottle and tissues, was under the bed. The TV remote didn’t work either.

This is a self check-in hotel with no staff on site, so make sure you get the PDF check-in instructions, especially the four-digit entry code. They apparently forgot to send mine, and I was left outside for hours. I tried reaching the hotel over the two days before check-in and on the day itself, but couldn’t contact anyone by phone or email. Even the tour agent and local agent couldn’t get through. There are two entrances. One is up the stairs to the second floor. The other has a lift from the ground floor, but it’s down a back alley that’s hard to find at first. Coming from the Metro station, turn left into the alley just before the sign. Book at your own risk. Hope this helps fellow travellers.

I waited two hours at 2am and nobody came to help, so I had to book another hotel nearby. The password they gave me was wrong, and even though there was an emergency number posted on the hotel door, no one answered. There were cockroaches by the entrance, and the hotel didn’t refund me. I can’t recommend staying here.

The hotel is handy for anything a traveller might need. We stayed just one night before an early flight, and our room was clean and fresh.
