The room was comfortable enough for us to relax, even with its old-fashioned Showa-era look. There’s no elevator, so we took the stairs, but that was fine. The hotel is only a few minutes on foot from Nishi-Koizumi Station, and the Wi-Fi details were under the lamp, so I got online quickly and watched videos without trouble. I stayed two nights. In the morning on day two, the staff checked my plans, then cleaned the room while I was out and replaced the towels and cups. I really appreciated that. Water and a microwave were available on each floor’s landing. I booked without meals since I wasn’t sure when I’d want to eat. A 7-Eleven was about 5-10 minutes away on foot, depending on your pace, and I could stock up on groceries there. There weren’t many restaurants open nearby. I saw a Brazilian restaurant and a few other options, but had lunch at izakaya Nonki near the 7-Eleven.

I liked the room’s atmosphere, especially the bed set on tatami with a red carpet over it. There was a chair and table tucked between the bed, too. 👍 The building is old, but the thoughtful extras made the stay lovely. In the room I had an air purifier, kettle, cups, tea bags, and a refrigerator. The hallway had a water dispenser and microwave, plus soy sauce and disposable chopsticks. I stayed here ahead of the Ota Subaru Marathon. The place’s older character was part of its appeal for me. 👍👍👍

The two managers were kind, and the Japanese breakfast was good both in portion size and quality. The air conditioning also worked well, though it kept running when I went out. I was here for four nights in August 2025. The building and facilities are dated, especially the bathtub and plumbing, and they didn’t feel especially comfortable for a hotel.

The free earplugs came in handy. There are four covered parking spaces, including two for electric vehicles. They say there can be up to 10 spaces, but are five of those taken up permanently?

The food was tasty, and I came away quite satisfied. The building has an old Showa-era feel, nothing like the usual hotel image you might get from Toyoko Inn. The facilities are dated, but the place was clean and the amenities were excellent.
