Okayama Universalhotel Second Annex

The place was clean, the people were kind, and dinner was delicious. They don't take credit cards.

For work, I stayed here around three weeks, and the low price was a plus. There's a large public bath and private parking, and breakfast and dinner are provided. Dinner offers a daily special or curry, while breakfast is the same every day and gets boring. The sewage smell comes up when you leave the room. If you're only looking for somewhere to sleep, I think it's perfectly fine.

The front desk staff, both women and men, were very friendly and had lovely smiles. I stayed overnight for a class reunion, and dinner and breakfast were included at a very reasonable price. Because I had an SUV, they suggested a coin parking lot about 200 meters away, where I left the car. The front desk and lobby were a little dark, and the building felt old, but for that price it didn't bother me. The downtown area is very close, so I could easily walk around and visit a few izakayas. I'd definitely stay again.

I was there in late November, and after reading the reviews I hadn't expected much. For the price, though, I appreciated what was included. My smoking room was small and smelled noticeably of smoke when I first went in, but I got used to it, and it was well cleaned. Breakfast and dinner came with the stay. They weren't the best meals, but I was glad to have them since I didn't feel like going out. People had said the front desk staff weren't helpful, but I found them all polite. The dining staff were the ones whose service disappointed me more. I thought the low price made it worth it. Thanks for the stay.
