Restay Okayama - Adults Only

I rank this hotel pretty high among those in the prefecture and like it quite a bit. The amenities are varied, and members can borrow shampoo and other items. The service has felt flexible to me, though it probably depends on who's working. I've never run into anyone I disliked. The building itself seems old, but some rooms have saunas and washing machines. I often pick a room without reading the panel details first, like a room gacha, and that's fun in its own way. They used to have a Coke room, I remember, but it disappeared after the renovation. What a shame. I hope they do well and improve the interior design.

It's a reservable love hotel where you can leave during your stay. Out on the edge of Okayama City, it's pitch dark with little around at night, though the hotel is well lit and easy to spot. It has the feel of a Showa-era motel that's been renovated bit by bit. The rooms are a little small, but have the basic amenities, including a microwave unit in the bathroom that my girlfriend was happy about. The front desk staff were friendly, and I didn't notice any particular problems. It's a bit dated, but a decent hotel with few complaints.

Why doesn't the hotel tell the front desk guy to stop being so familiar with customers? He's dealing with customers, not friends. Like others have said, it's creepy having to stand there for so long just to get a drink. I wish they'd get a proper front desk.

A year ago, a standard room was an option, but now it's deluxe or above. Members get one free item per person, and you can also get a discount by collecting enough LINE points. The train tracks are very close, so passing trains are noisy. If you're sensitive to noise, this probably isn't the place for you.
