Shiki No Kaban

The garden view is pleasant, and opening the curtains makes the room fairly bright. With only the interior lights on, though, it still feels dim. My wife especially disliked the sink because she couldn't do her makeup there. The upstairs is barely usable: the stairs are very steep, and the ceiling is under 1m high. The sofa also looks so flimsy that it might break. Planes do make noise when they pass overhead because the inn is near the airport, but they aren't frequent enough to bother me.

We had a spacious, comfortable room in the Creative Building, though it was very dark. I especially wish the kitchen had better lighting. I arrived in the evening, and check-in was at the Soybean Research Institute. The cooking gear was limited to a pot, frying pan, kettle, cups, knife, and cutting board, so bring anything else you'll need.

We sleep well here because the place is quiet, clean, roomy, and has comfortable beds. We come every year, and our dogs love it. They're always smiling, and the air and stars are beautiful. The lighting in the room is a little dim, so I wish they'd at least use brighter bulbs. The dog run is also on the small side. If it could be extended into the area where the Silkie chickens used to be, I think the dogs would have more to do and wouldn't get bored.

It's a bit of a trip from Okayama city, which I actually like. The airport is close, so you may notice takeoff and landing noise, but it didn't bother me. You might get photos of the starry sky nearby, depending on the cottages around you. I tried to book a return visit for New Year's, but it was already full. Tch.
