HOTEL Palm Tree Hill

Okinawa is gorgeous. This place, though, is basically a cheap motel, and the low price is about its only selling point. It’s not in a great location, the rooms smell of cigarettes, and the Wi-Fi is so bad you can barely look anything up. The shower is terribly designed and has no fan, so all our toilet paper got soaked because we couldn’t clear the steam. The sink stayed clogged the whole time. They don’t clean until you leave, which makes no sense. It feels like the hotel runs itself, and that really doesn’t work here. Don’t waste a cent. You’d be better off sleeping in a rental car or something.

I stayed one night and left my charger behind. They agreed to send it to me, and I was fine with paying since it was my fault. They said they’d mailed it, but it never arrived. The first attempt failed because they said I was absent. I was waiting for the second delivery, but it still hasn’t come. I asked again and haven’t received a response.

The amenities were broken, and there were bugs and black mold in the room.

The rate was reasonable, but the room had a lot of bugs. The futon smelled a little dusty, and the shower curtain smelled bad too, with mold and black spots along the bottom. I didn’t have pajamas, so be aware of that. At night I heard something like birds chirping, though I suppose that’s just nature and can’t be helped. Around 6 AM, someone in the next room was playing a video loudly, and it was annoying.
