Business Daiichi Hotel Omihachiman

The room was comfortable enough. I stayed for five days, and the price felt fair for the services, good breakfast, and evening bath.

I got to relax in the large public bath on both days. It was empty when I went, and probably fits 3-4 people. For someone like me who doesn't usually eat breakfast, what they had was plenty. The location also works well for trips around Kyoto, Shiga, and Gifu. For this price, the quality is incredible, and I'd happily stay again.

The first-floor communal bath and sauna were a great way to ease the tiredness from sightseeing, and the old-fashioned Japanese feel there was lovely. My room was quite spacious, though it looked like the hotel had different room types. I was traveling by train, so the five-minute walk from the station suited me. There was also a large supermarket nearby where I could pick up dinner and drinks. I chose the hotel after seeing a YouTuber recommend it, and it lived up to what I expected. Breakfast is served beside the first-floor front desk, with prepared side dishes and self-serve rice and miso soup. It was a comfortable stay and good value.

Breakfast was a Japanese-style buffet with small side dishes, and I found it pretty tasty. I also appreciated having a refrigerator in the room. The hotel has a large public bath and sauna, which were nice to use every day. It has the feel of an older business hotel. The room was clean, but the unit bathroom was quite small, and the table and TV were so close that watching was awkward. Wi-Fi was available. My computer connected normally, but I think my phone only stayed connected for 10 minutes at a time, up to eight times a day. The station is a bit of a walk away. There's a river nearby, so I could walk or run along it.
