The twin room felt a bit cramped, but it was clean and seemed to have been thoroughly tidied. I liked the large trash can, which made it easy to put food waste in. The simple shower room may be better than a unit bath. Service was good, and they showed me to the parking lot as soon as I arrived. As other reviews mention, there was a lot of noise in the hallways and on the stairs.

The room is bare-bones, with a large bed and a small desk beside it, separated by a curtain from the toilet and shower booth. The toilet is only screened off by a curtain, so people may feel differently about that. The shower booth worked fine, but there is no bathroom unit. A large LCD TV is mounted beside the bed, so you can watch while lying down, like at an APA Hotel. The desk might be cramped if you're trying to work. The walls seemed thin, and I could hear footsteps on the stairs. Earplugs were available among the self-serve amenities, though I didn't use them. I stayed solo in November 2024, about a 7-minute walk from Shin-Omuta Station. Apart from a convenience store there's not much around, so eat somewhere beforehand. It's also not close to the local train lines at Ginsui Station or Omuta Station, which makes the location less ideal. The front desk closes at 10 PM. Service was average, and it seemed to be run by one person. The door uses a regular key and doesn't lock automatically, so remember to lock it when you close it. It feels like a hotel that has cut costs across the board to keep the price very low. It won't suit everyone, but if it works for you, you'll likely be quite satisfied. The price was certainly reasonable.

It's sort of like having a spacious private room at a manga cafe. The free manga selection is great, though smaller than an actual manga cafe, and there are coffee and tea too. The coin laundry has a washer-dryer for 500 yen per stop, with free powdered detergent, so it's good value. The walls are thin, and I could clearly hear people talking in the next room and across the hall, along with a TV left on. In the second-floor twin room I shared with a friend, the frosted-glass sliding door between the room and the toilet and shower booth was pretty see-through, which felt awkward since we weren't family. Internet was available, but it was old-fashioned dial-up, not Wi-Fi or fiber. I hadn't expected much, so I just read manga, lol. Even the twin room only came with one key. After 10 PM the front desk is closed and the entrance is locked, so if one person goes out for groceries while the other falls asleep, they'll be locked out. Take care. I'd recommend it to solo travelers or manga fans who don't mind noise. For light sleepers or people sharing with someone they aren't close to, it could be a challenge.

A nice bonus is the big selection of free comics, and the price is low, which really helps. The room was small but clean and stylish, with a refrigerator and electric kettle. I was surprised at first that the toilet and shower room were tucked into a corner of the room, but there's a curtain, so it wasn't a problem. It's a 5-minute walk from Shin-Omuta Station, and parking is available. Just be careful, the lot right next door is a different parking lot. It seemed like a lot of guests were staying multiple nights.

There was a cute cat at the entrance, and watching the manager take good care of it warmed my heart. I stayed because the hotel is near my family home, where I have lots of relatives. The room was clean and perfectly fine for a simple stay. I'd like to come back if I get the chance.
