It can look a bit intimidating from the outside, but inside it's a gem. The staff were friendly, and there was parking and bicycles. Breakfast was good too. When we left early for a trip, they even packed a whole breakfast box for us.

I come to Okinawa often, though this was my first time in Onna-son. The staff at reception and the cleaning team were super kind and friendly. Free bicycles were really useful, but bear in mind Okinawa is hilly if you're planning a long ride. I loved the cool "Tropical brutalism" design, with concrete and lots of plants. The bed and pillow were both comfortable, which matters to me because of my neck problems. There's a 7/11 and restaurants a 5-10 minute walk away. The road is close, so if traffic sounds make it hard for you to sleep, you may want earplugs. The nearby Moon Beach is private, and you have to pay to enter.

The road got loud in the middle of the night, with motor noise coming through. Still, my room was clean and comfortable, and the balcony had an excellent view of the beautiful sunset. It's also very close to different diving shops, so the location works well for scuba diving near the blue cuve.

The hotel's exterior can seem intimidating, especially after dark, but don't let that put you off. Inside, the room is spacious and carefully designed down to the furnishings. If you're tired of plain business hotels, this makes a great alternative. The price is reasonable, and the atmosphere feels relaxing and exotic.
