We were sad to leave after two nights and three days, and wished we could have stayed longer. The villa is just under an hour from Naha Airport by highway, close to Halekulani and Janglia, and can fit a large group. It was cold, so we didn't use the pool, but we did enjoy the in-home sauna, which was great. There was also a washing machine and dryer, plus a rooftop BBQ area. The building was very clean and the interior had a calming design.

The room was clean, usable, and had a lovely atmosphere, and we'd definitely like to stay again. Still, the high-season price was more than double the usual per room, so perhaps I expected a little too much, and a few things left me disappointed. We came as a three-generation family, with people in their 50s and 20s and a one-year-old. Just like the website showed, there was a pool, beds, and a great view, and we had a comfortable, lovely day. With the sauna and slide, we stayed entertained at the hotel all day. One night wasn't enough, and the whole family is already talking about a longer stay next time. A few details could have been better. There were no sandals for the terrace, and all three shoe lockers were locked. The bathroom had no cups. A coffee mill had a card calling it a “gift,” but there were no beans or grounds, so it wasn't useful, unless guests were meant to bring their own. The mattresses were all different. Some were harder than expected, others firmer, so we tried them out before deciding who would sleep where.

The pool wasn't usable on our first day because its water quality was poor after the recent typhoon. Thankfully, the staff tested and cleaned it the next day, so we could swim. It had both deep and shallow sections, which let the kids enjoy it in their own way. We came with our 2, 5, and 7-year-old children. On our first day in Okinawa they kept asking to go to the aquarium, but as soon as we reached the villa they were thrilled and said, “I'm so glad we came here first!” Everything we were worried might be missing, like dish soap, sponges, plastic wrap, and clothespins, was there. It felt comfortable and homey. The washer and dryer let us pack lighter and meant less laundry to deal with after the trip. The rounded walls and warm colors made the interior feel calm. Relaxing in the room or beside the pool after the children went to sleep, or first thing in the morning, was wonderful. I wish we'd had another night so we could have stayed at the villa all day without sightseeing. Check-in and checkout were at another hotel, but it was an easy process and they clearly explained where the villa was. Thanks to ima villa, my first trip in a long time was really satisfying. Thank you so much. I'd love to come back! (^^)

We spent the last day of our Okinawa trip here, and had such a lovely, relaxed time together. One night wasn't nearly enough. We couldn't make full use of the sauna or BBQ, and next time we'd like to stay longer, rent bikes to visit the nearby beach, and try the pool and waterslide. We'll definitely return when it's warm enough to swim. It was a cozy villa and we made wonderful memories. We booked for March 22-23, 2025, and picked up the keys at a nearby hotel for check-in. The villa is in Onna Village, Okinawa Prefecture, opened August 1, 2024, and has a pool and sauna. Its concept is “making this an unforgettable time (now).” The name “ima” combines “time” (jikan) and “living room” (ma), expressing the hope that families will gather and smile there. That feeling really comes through. The villa is made for the whole family to enjoy time together, from adults to babies. There was plenty for children, including rounded plasterwork, rounded tables, soft cushions, Bumbo, high chairs, children's amenities, and small straws. That kind of attention felt touching. They also offered welcome drinks. The black appliances and fixtures looked tasteful, including a refrigerator, Balmuda oven range and pot, cookware with a steamer, dishes, cutlery, and salt and pepper mills. A hand-ground coffee set and beans were provided, so we could make fresh coffee. We even made a stylish breakfast from leftover ingredients. The mills were useful for seasoning. For dinner, we got takeout from a nearby restaurant and enjoyed a peaceful evening with the pool and night view in front of us. The pool uses natural salt, mixed into the water and electrolyzed to produce hypochlorous acid water, as an alternative to relying as much on concentrated chlorine. The description says it's safe for the body and acts as an antiviral and sterilizing agent. You can see the pool from the bath. It wasn't swimming season, so our little one was happy to use the bathtub instead, morning, noon, and night (lol). There's a spacious living room and two bedrooms, with two queen beds, one bunk bed, and two single beds. Each bedroom has its own shower and toilet, and there are three toilets in total, so we could have privacy. Drawers under the bedrooms made suitcase storage easy. The Japanese-Western room had a drawer where we kept board games and other things, and its light turned on when opened, a thoughtful touch. A roller blind separated the room, where we could sleep on futons. Since three generations stayed together, we used all three bedrooms as our own private spaces. Free Wi-Fi, a washer with automatic detergent dispenser, dryer, board games, and projector were also provided. For a large group, the price is around 10,000 yen per person, and the quality felt amazing. At night, I went outside and saw local cats that I could even pet. It gave me a warm feeling of Okinawa. Location: 2288-518 Nakama, Onna Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture. About 80 minutes from Naha Airport on the Okinawa Expressway. Parking is free for two cars. Check-in is at 3:00 PM and checkout at 10:00 AM. It can host up to 10 people including small children; ask about groups larger than 10. Bike rental costs extra and requires a reservation, and the bikes are beside the villa parking lot.

When our child broke a plate and I apologized, the first thing they asked was whether anyone was hurt. That kindness made me happy right through the end of our stay. The kids could keep switching between the pool, bath, and sauna, and they loved the villa so much we had trouble getting them to leave. The weather wasn't great, but we still had a fantastic time. Inside, the toys and everything else kept the kids entertained, and both adults and children had a wonderful time. Okinawa was the place the kids most wanted to visit, so thank you for giving us such a lovely spot for our first trip there. Everyone felt sad when it was time to go. It really was amazing!
