Umi no Ryotei Okinawa Nakamaso

The restaurant was incredible, with fantastic dinner and breakfast. It must surely be Michelin standard. The staff went out of their way to welcome us, and they adapted the menu for a vegetarian while keeping the food at the same high standard. Our spacious room had a bath overlooking the sea, and the on-site onsen was great. It was open to Westerners with tattoos too. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan, more than five stars!

We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to coming back. The staff were very friendly, and the views were among the most beautiful. Our room was big, there was plenty of parking, and breakfast was great and healthy. The onsen was nice too, and there’s a beautiful beach within walking distance.

Even though we had to leave early, the staff kindly prepared delicious bento boxes for our journey. The warm hospitality, stunning ocean views, spacious rooms, and rejuvenating hot springs all exceeded what we expected. A flawless stay, 10/10!

The restaurant view was amazing, with blue seas framed by floor-to-ceiling glass. The food and service were decent, and everyone was friendly to our child. Breakfast was decent too, though we got two Japanese meals and one Western meal with no choice, and juice cost an extra JPY 500. The onsen and sauna were serviceable. The location was handy for Onna beach and the aquarium compared with Naha. The extra charges spoiled the experience. Room cleaning cost JPY 5000 each time, and we had to leave our used towels, bathrobes, and rubbish bins outside for them to be changed. Children were charged twice: we had to select the more expensive room with larger capacity, then pay another JPY 2750 per night at the hotel. With no cleaning included, I’m not sure we’d stay again, and we definitely won’t use trip.com in future.
