Azumi Setoda

The dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious and really high quality, and the bike tour was a fun way to see the area from a different perspective. I drove over from Hiroshima airport, and the route was beautiful too. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, this is a wonderful hotel. There's a very nice Onsen across the street. They leave TVs out of the rooms so guests can unplug and relax, though they said they could bring one in if you'd prefer.

Setoda is known as a mecca for cyclists, but you don't need to be here to ride. The hotel has a rare sense of peace, and I left feeling I could replenish my spirit and reconnect with myself in those serene surroundings. This was my second stay at Azumi Setoda, and it felt every bit as magical as the first, maybe even more so. Yoshi was a big reason I returned. She's gracious and warm, an absolute star and a real asset to the Azumi team. She made everything feel personal and unforgettable. The refined interiors have understated elegance and such class. I felt grounded as soon as I arrived, and dining was exquisite. I'd recommend booking ahead to secure a table. Thank you to the Azumi team for making this visit special again. I can't wait to return. It's a gem I'd recommend over and over without hesitation.

Dinner was outstanding, and I can't recommend this hotel enough. It was a wonderful surprise, with a fantastic modern Japanese feel, clean lines, and a beautiful new addition beside the historic building.

The town is quiet and nice for walking around and finding something to eat. The staff have been kind, thoughtful, and helpful, and everything fits together so well, from the building to the rooms to the people. I wish we didn't have to leave tomorrow. We're one night into a two-night stay, taking a break after a high-intensity week in Tokyo and Kyoto. It's a stunning place, and we've been marveling at all the thought and detail in the room's design and layout.
