I arrived around 2 AM, and being able to check in then was a real help. The man who showed me to my room was perfectly normal and left me with no bad impression. I came from Nara for one night and found this place after searching around. At ¥4,500 for two people, with easy access to Umeda, it was a bargain, and I was able to cover most of it with Rakuten Travel points. The room looked like the photos, though it had a bit of a love hotel feel. The lucky charms by the elevator on the fourth floor were lovely and made me feel blessed with good luck. The strongest downside was the chemical air freshener smell in the hall and room. It nearly made me sick. An odorless or gentler, more natural scent would suit the place better and let the charms, price, and location shine. If the smell had been pleasant, I would've given five stars. There are several rooms on each floor, and I rented one. I didn't mind the surroundings much, though outside noise came through, so it wasn't especially quiet. Still, for a downtown building, I liked being able to open the windows for air, and the back of the building was open. The manga underneath included "Ryo-san" and "Golgo 13", which made me grin and forgive the place for my earlier concerns. I'll come back when I'm out in Umeda. Thanks!

The bed was a futon on a wooden platform, so it sat low and had no padding. There was no fridge, and the only towels provided were bath towels.

The owner is very friendly, and the rooms are cute. It's fine if all you need is somewhere to shower and sleep. Just bring your own bottled drinks, since the room only has a toothbrush cup, and you'll need to bring a hairdryer and brush too. The hotel sits in a busy bar area, so I wouldn't suggest it for young women traveling alone.

There was a stink bug right on my pillow.
