Apartment Hotel 11 Higashi Umeda

Booked the Family room through Booking.com. The laundry setup was awkward: the room is tiny, the machine doesn’t dry clothes, and there were only five hangers plus a pole in the bathroom to hang things on. The sofa bed was already made up, leaving nowhere to sit or put luggage, and there was less than 20 cm between the bedroom wall and the bed. Amenities were bare minimum. It’s close to public transport and shopping centres, though figuring out the transport was a nightmare compared with other cities we visited. The apartment is in the red-light district, around bars and nightclubs, so the complimentary earplugs in the room didn’t feel reassuring. There’s no hotel reception or luggage storage, and attractions are far away.

We had a two-bedroom apartment on a lower floor. The bedroom facing the road got pretty noisy in the mornings and on weekends, so this may not suit light sleepers. They do provide earplugs, which was a considerate touch.

We came all the way from Germany to enjoy Osaka, and this hotel apartment made the trip easier. The location is fantastic, with train and subway stations nearby. Our room was clean and cozy, and the support team was quick to reply, friendly, and always kind.

The room was thoughtfully laid out and cleverly designed, and the hotel felt cozy and quiet. There’s a large supermarket nearby, along with postal services, and several metro lines are not far away.
