Hotel J-Ship Osaka Namba was a pleasant place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the shared facilities, including the bath area, were spotless and well maintained. My capsule room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a good night's sleep. Being close to Namba Station was convenient for exploring Osaka. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to others.

It's close to a quiet park and easy to get to the station, which made the location especially convenient. The facilities were good and quite complete. Even without private bathrooms, the property was very clean and well maintained, and I really liked the hotel. Staff were generally friendly, though one foreign male staff member didn't seem very welcoming to me. It wasn't a big deal. I just wish the lockers could fit large suitcases. That would make the stay even more perfect. I had a very pleasant experience overall.

We'd never tried a capsule hotel before, and staying here with friends made for a pretty unusual, interesting experience. We’d definitely try this kind of place again. The capsule had enough room, plus a TV and alarm, and everything worked. The pillow was a bit uncomfortable, though. The shared areas were quiet, pleasant, and very clean. I felt comfortable using the locker rooms and bathrooms, and had no hygiene complaints. The showers and spa surprised me with how spacious and relaxing they were, a great place to unwind after a long day.

The low price was a plus, but I booked the capsule by mistake. I thought I was choosing the larger room style beside it, and believe the booking site information was misleading. The sleeping space was just a small pod, with shared rooms and bathrooms and almost no privacy. You could even hear someone breathing in the next room. There was only one private shower, so using it very early was the best option if you wanted a more comfortable shower alone. I stayed a few years ago, so things may have changed. During my visit, a homeless woman who seemed to have mental health issues was also staying there. She had a strong odor, seemed not to wash, and wore pants stained with feces and menstrual blood. She laughed to herself and at the air, which made other guests uncomfortable. Since she was a paying guest, staff couldn't intervene at the time.
