DEL style Osaka - Shinsaibashi by Daiwa Roynet Hotel

We spent three weeks in Osaka and chose this as our base. We got one of the larger rooms for what we needed, and it fit the bill. We’ll be back. Shinseibashi Street is literally a 30-second walk away, with countless shops for whatever you need. The JR station is close too, so public transport is easy. When we needed a cab or Uber, the wait was never more than three minutes.

The hotel restaurant’s breakfast buffet was very nice, with Japanese and intercontinental options. Staff were courteous, and the modern hotel was well maintained. It’s beside a busy shopping and restaurant alley leading toward the famous Dotonburi district, with high-end brand boutiques all around. This is going to be my favorite hotel in Osaka.

I checked out in the morning and returned around 11 p.m. to collect my luggage. It was late, and I was also expecting a delivery that day, though I wasn’t sure it would arrive in time. One nice thing is that if you leave your luggage there after checkout, reception can help receive your delivery too. Ms.Nakanishi, whose English is really good, found all my things quickly. That was the last happy moment of my trip. She made my day!

The TV suddenly moved on its own for no reason, which was the only downside. Everything else was great, and I’d book it again if I wanted an affordable place that still felt high class. The location is amazing for shopping. Shinsaibashi shopping street is a one-minute walk, and dontonbori is 15 minutes on foot. The hotel is spacious, with a big bathroom, phone charging cables and amenities, and everything looked pretty new. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were super nice and friendly. They greeted us at the front desk and could speak English.
