The rates are good, and the location is really convenient. I wouldn’t choose it for a longer stay, though. The shower, toilet, and two sinks are right in the room, so noises from people ignoring the quiet hours woke me up. The staff member on duty also came across as unfriendly to me. After checking me in, the man barely looked at me and didn’t even say hello. If cost matters and you’re only staying one night, it could be fine. I can imagine it suiting people who enjoy a party atmosphere, since guests kept coming into the room and laughing at 3 a.m.

The Saturday night takoyaki party is free, and it was a fun way to chat with other guests. I’d definitely recommend joining in.

I had a really nice time meeting the other people staying at the guest house during the Takoyaki Party. It seems to happen each Saturday, so I’d suggest going.

I stayed for 11 days and found everything consistently very clean. It’s easy to get around from here, though it’s outside the city center, so I usually had to catch the last train back. Tofu, the little dog who lives here, is very cute. This isn’t a party hostel; people mostly kept to themselves and weren’t very chatty. That made it a good place to work, and a chance to see more of Osaka’s everyday suburbs. The train stations are nearby, as is a convenience store.

I arrived in Osaka for the first time on a rainy day last week, and the staff gave me such a warm welcome. Little Tofu was always wearing a diaper 🤣🤣, and one of the guesthouse guys patiently helped me take a photo with him. I also met some nice friends from different countries in the dorm. I’ll definitely come back to Osaka 😌
