The shower was great, with shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided for free, and the toilets were clean. The common room had free tea too, which made it easy to meet people. We had good storage in our private room, but the mattresses were really thin and uncomfortable. A draft from the balcony door left the room cold. The rooftop garden was nice, though the hot tub was hot for this time of year.
A free traditional Japanese bath is available if you reserve it, and they give you a Yukata to wear when you check in. We also got fresh towels each day, and the bathrooms and showers were clean. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the bed was comfortable, and there are small lockers on the first floor for valuables. It’s in a very central spot and costs little, so I thought it was great value.
There’s a lobby where you can hang out and meet other people, and they offer a hot bath for free. The rooms are fairly big and cleaned daily, and they’ll change the bedding if you ask. It’s a little outside the city centre, but the JR loop line connects it well. Really liked this hostel.
The rooftop terrace is a lovely place to unwind, and the hot tubs are fun. The people and staff were great. Beds are pretty comfortable, and the curtain gives you a bit of privacy. I’d recommend staying here.
I arrived today and have already extended my stay. It’s comfortable, really clean and has good facilities: a rooftop with a hot tub and BBQ, a Japanese bath, and free kimono, disposable toothbrushes, hairbrushes and razors. At about $13 a night, the price is amazing for Japan. It’s only been open a month, so more people should hear about it. The subway and JR line are two minutes away, and Osaka Castle is within walking distance.
