The front desk woman was so kind and showed me around, and even lent me an umbrella when it rained. I’d happily stay here again. It was my first hostel, and it turned out to be worth it: the place was quiet and very clean, including the bathroom and shower. My bed was comfy and came with a window, charger, lamp, pillow, duvet, towel, and face towel. I only wish it were closer to Namba station, since I had two suitcases in the rain. For the airport, allow two hours and head to Namba station instead of the Nippombashi line.

The location is the one good thing. The room is packed, there’s no soundproofing, and light comes through. Since the beds are connected, someone shifting around can wake you up. I ended up choosing this as a last resort. It feels like profit matters more than comfort, and the cafe and tea mention is a joke when all they have is tea bags and instant coffee.

The staff were incredibly kind and helped me with everything I needed. It’s in a quieter neighborhood, yet close to the center, and the hostel and room are both adorable. I’d definitely recommend it.

The building is lovely and clean, with a really attractive kitchenette, working showers, and a comfortable bed. They provide a towel, toothbrush, shampoo, and conditioner, plus free green tea and coffee. Getting there from Nara was a bit of a hassle, and the 5 pm check-in felt very late. I emailed to ask if I could at least leave my bag until evening; reception replied quickly, let me leave it in the building, and said I could check in at 4 pm and use the lounge. I was completely exhausted by then.

The 5 pm check-in is much too late when you’ve checked out elsewhere at 10 and have to spend seven hours out. I emailed about it and got a very quick reply. They let me leave my bag in the kitchenette lounge and check in at 4 pm, yay. The building is quite new, clean, and nicely designed, with cubicle beds, great showers, free green tea and coffee, and towels and toothbrushes supplied.
