Hostel Moku-Moku

The location worked well, near Awaji JR station, a market, and plenty of pachinko and slot places. The bathroom was very small, and the beds were really uncomfortable. I could feel the springs digging into my back.

It’s just an ordinary old apartment with a tiny bathroom. There’s no heater in the bathroom or toilet, so sitting on the toilet is freezing.

There’s a lot nearby, including supermarkets, a bus stop, a little shopping street, a public bathhouse, and plenty of restaurants that stay open late. The room was clean and comfortable, with a kitchen and a particularly nice, spacious dining table. The downside is the limited number of bathrooms. You also have to use the stairs, and smokers need to go to the designated area nearby. Still, it’s a good place to stay.

This apartment is spacious and well located, with several good donburi and ramen places just a two-minute walk away. There’s no washing machine, so laundry has to go to the laundry room, and the bathroom has no toiletries. The main issue was how dirty it was. Before guests arrived, it seemed they only vacuumed and changed the linens and towels, leaving the dust behind. There was so much on the windowsill that I couldn’t open the curtains. The air conditioner wasn’t clean, the floors hadn’t been mopped, and the kitchen utensils weren’t very clean either. The beds squeaked a lot, and I could hear street noise and the neighbors talking next door. After a week there, I developed a rash on my face. I can’t say why, but I suspect the dust or the bedding, since there were dirty stains on the blankets too. There’s no elevator in the building. The price matched the quality for Japan, but at least the dust could have been wiped away.
