Hotel Claiton Shin-Osaka

The room is small, but it came with nearly everything: a water heater, small fridge, toiletries including comb, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and face soap, TV, hair dryer, shoe brush, and an adjustable table for a late-night snack. The toilet has an adjustable spray shower, and it was easy to change the bath water temperature. That was especially nice after a long, exciting day out. Even though the hotel is beside the train rail, passing trains were barely audible to me, more like an occasional air conditioner sound. The managers were courteous and always available. You hand over your key when you leave and collect it when you come back, which helps make sure you don't lose it. I had an awesome stay.

I had a south-facing window, so I didn't really hear the trains or crossing bells. There's a decent spa and sauna for men only, plus self-service laundry machines and massage chairs to use while you wait. The old hotel has what you need and enough room to open a suitcase. It's a short walk to the red metro station and the Hankyu Line, which gets you to Kyoto pretty quickly for only 400¥.

The room's a little dated, but clean. Family Mart and Lawson are close by, and the metro station is an easy walk. It's on the same line as Namba and Shin-Osaka. I didn't really explore the neighborhood.

The room was a little small, but it had a big bed, which helped. The location is right by the railway, about 3m away, so you may hear it early in the morning or late at night. What makes the place worthwhile is the range of facilities, including the onsen, washing machines, and beverage dispenser. Those facilities are easily the best part, and enough for me to recommend the hotel.
