Hotel Hasu

The blackout curtains worked well and I slept soundly. Checkout was at 11:00, and the room seemed clean, with what looked like the plastic bags on things like the remote controls replaced each time. It was cheap and well located, though the surrounding area is a love hotel district and the other guests seemed similar, so I wondered whether this was really a business hotel. There was no tabletop mirror. I wanted to sit down and do my makeup in natural light, so a mirror in the room or one available to rent would’ve helped. The sink was small too, which made makeup difficult. I don’t think men would have a problem staying here.

It’s cheap, and when you stay overnight without meals you hardly see anyone else. But this time in the morning, it seemed the cleaning staff opened the door without permission. I’m glad I wasn’t changing!

The station was nearby, which was convenient. But the light was so bright I couldn’t sleep, and I couldn’t adjust it. Taking out the card was the only way to switch it off, but then the room went completely dark and even the refrigerator shut down, which was inconvenient. The lotus painting is beautiful, though it’s right above my head and quite bright.

It was easy to get to from the station, but the hotel is in a hotel district, and the beds and towels smelled bad. I booked because the website called it a business hotel, but it didn’t feel like one. If I’d only been looking for a place to sleep, I should’ve picked somewhere else.
