Hotel Livemax Osaka Hommachi

I’ve never had a hotel refuse to hold my luggage temporarily after checkout before. Customer service was poor too. I wonder if the other branches are the same.

We got there around 11:00 AM on check-in day and asked to leave our bags, since check-in didn’t start until 3:00 PM. The older man on duty was rude. He spoke to us face-to-face in Chinese with an unpleasant expression after we asked about storing our luggage. It felt racist and unprofessional. This was a really bad experience and the first time anything like this has happened to us in Japan, a country known for its customer service. Someone who behaves that way shouldn’t be working at the front desk, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The room was a little small, but the bathroom was clean. The receptionist let us leave our bags while we waited for check-in. On our last day, we paid 1000 yen for a late checkout at noon.

Some staff were friendly, though others were a bit rude. The room was small, but it did have its own microwave, and the location near dotonbori was a plus. Still, having luggage was inconvenient: checkout is at 10am, and you can’t leave your bags even briefly. They also don’t offer Ta-q-bin service. Not recommended.
