Hotel Osaka la vie en soft – Adults Only

I got a warm welcome on my first visit, on a Saturday afternoon. There were only two rooms left. I was hesitating by the lobby drink bar when two other groups arrived, so I just made it in time. The listed base price was around 7,000 yen, but showing a website coupon before check-in got me three hours for 4,980 yen. The room is old and has only the bare essentials, with almost no in-room services or explanation. Drinks in the room cost extra unless you get a paper cup from the lobby drink bar or use a powdered drink there. The fridge only fits two or four 500ml bottles. You can see the current price on the TV, but control it with a keyboard instead of a remote. I could check out on the TV too. To pay, I returned the room keychain-like item to the first-floor lobby, then used the self-checkout next door. The Wi-Fi password appeared when I turned on the TV. The bath is small, but the bubbles came out with incredible force. As of December 2025, construction next door was going on and made things a bit noisy during the day. I could hear nearby room doors opening and closing, maybe because of cleaning. The cigarette smell gave me a headache every time I entered. Knowing what to expect beforehand, I had no major issues and enjoyed my stay.

The room was spacious and comfortable to relax in, and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed here the other day. The refrigerator is only big enough for about one 500ml plastic bottle!

The rooms had different feels to them, which I liked, and the front desk staff seemed really nice. But I found an IQOS cigarette butt wedged beside the bed, and the electric kettle still had water that looked like it was from the last guest. They need to check rooms more carefully after cleaning. Apart from that, it’s a very nice place, and I’d recommend it if you need a hotel in Umeda.

We came for a break as a couple after finding the wait too long at a sister store. The staff were very polite and kind, and showing the front desk our website coupon went smoothly. We got a room even though the place was full, with one group waiting, and paid easily after calling downstairs before leaving. PayPay is accepted. The room was clean and there was no cigarette smell, though the ashtray and lighter made us think it might have been a smoking room. There were water marks by the TV and some things left by a previous guest in the bathroom. It didn’t bother me, but I can see how it might bother more sensitive guests, perhaps with limited cleaning time. There was a toy gift on the bed and two rubber bands by the pillow. We waited in a semi-private room near the entrance, and saw other guests stuck waiting because those rooms were full too, which may concern some people. I’d read reviews and felt a little unsure beforehand, but it turned out fine. It’s close to the station and the coupon made the stay cheap, so I’d use it again.
